This is what parents of Matrix players are saying about the Matrix Program:
Our daughter was a reluctant participant at the beginning of the season, due to her frustrating experience on an underperforming house league team. She loved her Matrix experience. I could really see her blossoming as a player and a leader. She also really responded well to her coaches. Thank you.
As a parent, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. In practice and games, Coach Jameson stayed wonderfully focused on fundamentals and let the girls experience the painful reality of poor passes or sloppy dribbling. It made them want to work on these critical fundamentals. This is what I had in mind for our daughter with the Matrix. Focusing on game situation or pressing in advance of ability would only have resulted in sloppy basketball and not true skills development.
Hope to see you next season. Best wishes and you have a friend in the McDonald family.

I was thinking this morning how happy my daughter has been since we got involved with Matrix AAU. Just wanted to say thanks!
And I'd also like to say what a great job Coach Paul and Boll have done with the girls. My daughter is clearly not the same player/child she was back in March and the team is soooo much better.
Yes we do have a 10-12 mile commute for practices, but it is worth it!!

"We just received this pleasantly surprising and unexpected news that our daughter was selected to the all-league team in the FCYBL 7th grade league and we wanted to let you know that we all owe it to the Matrix. Our daughter has tremendously enjoyed playing basketball with the Matrix and you and your fellow coaches have made a significant impact in her basketball development. Thank you very much for all your continued support and dedication."

I was talking with the assistant activities director at Washington-Lee, a gym teacher at W-L and a former W-L coach recently when the assistant AD asked, "Why do we have such strong freshman on our JV girls basketball team?"
I said you can thank Arlington Matrix Basketball for this!! If it were not for Matrix basketball, these girls would not have the skills to play at this level.
I went on to tell them to look around all of the Arlington freshman teams -- W-L, Yorktown, Wakefield -- all have players who were lucky enough to be in the Matrix program. And I added that that thanks to the help of the Matrix, you will continue to see many more talented players coming up.
At the middle school level, I went to the Swanson - Williamsburg girls basketball game recently and was surprised that the level of play there. My daughter is loving it there at Swanson. So many of the seeds that the Matrix has planted and are planting are growing into wonderful players.
The Matrix is doing amazing things for girls basketball.
