Welcome to the homepage for Matrix Basketball.  We are very excited to kick off the 2017 AAU season, our 15th season as an organization.  We have fielded 15 Matrix AAU teams for 2017, serving girls from Grades 2 through 11 from across the region, led by an experienced volunteer coaching staff.  We look forward to providing more opportunities for girls in Northern Virginia and the DC Metro area to continue to develop as people and players in 2017!

Thank you to all players who tried out for a Matrix team this season, and best of luck to everyone on the upcoming season!  For those selected for the Matrix in 2017, we can't wait to see you play!

If you would like to receive e-mails about Matrix events such as tryouts, clinics, team offerings, and other girls’ basketball events for Matrix players and prospective players, please send an e-mail to  and include the following information in the e-mail:

•   Subject: Matrix Mailing List
•   Player name, school and grade for 2017-2018 school year
•   Parent name, phone number and e-mail address
•   Current team name

If you have registered or plan to register for a Matrix clinic or other event in our online registration system, you will automatically be added to our mailing list.

Before we started the 2011 AAU season, the Matrix Board of Directors felt it was important to let all current and prospective players, parents, coaches and fans know what it means to be a member of the Matrix; these principles still apply in 2017.
